Isuzu truck involved in fatal scooter accident in Tashkent

Reports have circulated on social media claiming that an Isuzu truck ran over a scooter passenger in Tashkent. The capital's Road Traffic Safety Department has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

According to the report, on August 2 at 19:10, a traffic accident occurred in front of house No. 58 on KHAI Street, Yangihayot district. The accident involved a Lacetti, a scooter, and an Isuzu truck.

As a result of the collision, the scooter passenger, M.S., born in 2006, died at the scene due to sustained injuries.

The Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs has launched a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (Violation of Traffic Safety or Vehicle Operation Rules). A preliminary investigation is currently underway.

It is worth noting that a similar fatal accident recently took place in the Uchkuprik district of the Fergana region, where a Nexia struck a 64-year-old woman crossing the road. She also died from her injuries.
