Centralized heat supply prices rise in Tashkent

3795The city of Tashkent has officially increased its prices for centralized heat supply, raising the cost from 105,754 soums to 121,617 soums per gigacalorie, which represents a 15 percent increase. This decision was made by the mayor of Tashkent and is now in effect.
The new pricing structure for centralized heat supply services provided by "Veolia Energy Tashkent" includes the following rates:
- A regulated base price for budget organizations is set at 664,465 soums per gigacalorie (Gcal), and 801,963 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT).
- Residents will now pay 121,617 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT).
- Other wholesale organizations will incur a cost of 244,497 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT).
This increase in tariffs for thermal energy and hot water services was previously approved by the Council of People's Deputies of Tashkent on September 12. In related news, QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to "Veolia Energy Tashkent" to clarify rumors regarding the activation of the heating system in the city, which is anticipated to start on November 10. The company confirmed that these reports are inaccurate, and the decision to turn on the heating system awaits the mayor's directive.
