On June 15, a passenger-carrying Mercedes-Benz bus and a minibus caught fire in Tashkent, according to the Traffic Safety Department of Tashkent city MDIA.

The first incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. near the 18th bus shed on the Tashkent public ring road in the Uchtepa district. A short circuit in the electric wiring of the Mercedes-Benz bus caused the fire, which completely destroyed the vehicle.

"The fire was extinguished by district DES employees, and no injuries were reported," stated the report.

Shortly after, at 11:35 a.m., another fire broke out in a Mercedes-Benz bus on Lutfkor Street in the Sergeli district. The bus was fully engulfed in flames before the fire rescue team managed to extinguish it.

Details about the cause of the fire, as well as any injuries or fatalities, have not yet been disclosed.

This follows an earlier incident where a UAZ vehicle caught fire in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent.
