The body of a missing 6-year-old boy was discovered in a water-filled well, according to Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office.
It was determined that a pit dug by workers from a service enterprise for the purpose of repairing a cracked hot water pipe was left open, without safety barriers installed around it. This oversight led to the tragic incident.
"In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 257 of the Criminal Code (violation of labor protection regulations). Investigative efforts are ongoing," said Hayot Shamsutdinov.
It is worth noting that earlier, the body of a 33-year-old man was found in the Great Fergana canal.
