Individuals who promised to facilitate the immigration of several citizens to the USA are arrested in Tashkent

7261Those who had offered to assist citizens in relocating to the USA through their acquaintances in exchange for sums of $16,000 and $10,000 respectively were apprehended in the city of Tashkent and the surrounding Tashkent region. This information was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the department, attempts to unlawfully transport residents to the USA within Tashkent city and the Tashkent region were thwarted by the collaborative efforts of the department's personnel, the State Security Service, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
One of the arrested individuals, D.K., a resident of the Chinaz district in Tashkent region, was taken into custody with physical evidence after gaining the trust of M.A. He had promised to help M.A. secure employment in the USA through his acquaintances for $16,000 and had already received an advance payment of $3,000.
Additionally, another individual, F.M., who had a previous conviction in the Yunusabad district of the capital, was apprehended with physical evidence. F.M. had made promises to J.K. to facilitate employment in the USA for $10,000 with the assistance of his acquaintances in high-ranking positions and had already received an advance payment of $3,200.
It has been reported that criminal cases have been initiated under Article 168 (Fraud) and Article 28, 211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are currently underway.
