5 new stations are now operational on the Tashkent underground metro line

Passenger transportation has begun at five stations completed within the second stage of the Tashkent underground ring metro, according to a statement by the Ministry of Transport's Press Service.
The five new stations in the Koyliq-Kurmukhiv section have a total length of 7.74 kilometres, bringing the total number of Tashkent metro stations to 48.
Upon completion of the second stage of construction, the Tashkent metro will span more than 70 kilometres and include 50 stations.
In February 2023, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction site of the Tashkent underground metro's second stage. Currently, the first stage and a surface road from Koylyk to Sergeli, connecting the Sergeli route, are under construction. This section will have seven stops over a distance of approximately 12 kilometres.
Currently, five stations up to the Builders' Base have been completed.
