News about a fire in the Tashkent metro has spread on social networks. The metropolitan press service provided information on the situation.
It was noted that today, August 27, at 7:28 p.m., a short circuit occurred in one of the devices on the contact rail at the Chilonzor metro station "Uzgarish," resulting in a fire. The malfunction was immediately addressed by the driver and metro staff at the station. During this time, the passengers inside the train were safely brought to the station, and within 4 minutes, train service was restored.
It was reported that no one was injured in the fire.
"Currently, trains are running on the route according to the established schedule," the report stated.
