7745At Tashkent International Airport, customs officers intercepted an Uzbek citizen boarding a flight to Munich, Germany, who was found to be carrying a gold cup worth 135,200,000 soums. This information was reported by Toshkent-AERO.
According to the report, while an Uzbek citizen was traveling from Tashkent to Munich, he attempted to conceal a single yellow-colored, 750-karat gold cup—with an estimated weight of 104 grams and a declared value of 135,200,000 soums—within his luggage. Customs officers at the Islom Karimov Tashkent International Airport stopped him during the boarding process.
Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
It is worth recalling that, previously, during an operation at Istanbul Airport in Turkey, three Uzbek women were intercepted when 6 kilograms 28 grams of gold hidden on their bodies—specifically in their intimate areas—was confiscated.
