The captain of the Uzbekistan national team, Eldor Shomurodov, participated in the press conference before the match against the DPRK as part of the World Cup qualifiers and shared his thoughts.
"Finally, after many long-awaited years, the main stage is beginning for us once again. We are all ready for the game and will do our best to achieve our goal. During previous cycles, we participated as young players and worked alongside experienced teammates. However, this time the responsibility is on us; we must apply the lessons we've learned. We've had ample time to prepare, and we've worked on our mistakes. We all believe that we are one family and can fulfill our main task together," said Shomurodov.
Shomurodov added that he has always given his best and played with great passion in the national team’s uniform.
"From my first call-up until now, I have always acted with the highest desire. We all dream of going to the World Cup. That’s why we approach each game with a single goal in mind. We will use all our possibilities to achieve this," stated the team captain.
It is worth noting that the head coach of the national team, Srechko Katanec, also shared his thoughts before the match against North Korea.
