Wanted individual arrested in Turkey after 10 years

A person wanted in Uzbekistan for 10 years on charges of multiple fraud offenses related to car trade has been arrested in Turkey, according to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

The arrest took place following a joint operation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan. The individual, 56-year-old I.U.B., had been sought since 2015 for committing various fraud crimes in the car trade. He was apprehended in Istanbul and deported to Uzbekistan on January 11 of this year, with assistance from the Consulate General's staff.

The statement further urged citizens who have been victims of I.U.B.'s actions to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan or its affiliated agencies.

This follows the earlier arrest of a 26-year-old Uzbek citizen in Turkey, who had been wanted for four years, in cooperation with Turkish law enforcement.
