Temur Kapadze named Uzbekistan’s Coach of the Year

Former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team and current head coach of Namangan’s Navbahor, Temur Kapadze, has been named the Best Coach of the Year 2025 in Uzbekistan. The announcement was made at the Uzbekistan Football Association’s annual awards ceremony.
Over the past year, Kapadze led the Uzbekistan national team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the country’s history. He also guided the team to victory at the CAFA Nations Cup held in September 2025.
In the voting process for the award, Kapadze finished ahead of Ilyos Zaytullayev, Vadim Abramov, Islombek Ismoilov, and Komoliddin Tojiyev.
For reference, Temur Kapadze signed a contract with Namangan’s Navbahor football club in December 2025.
