Those selling counterfeit money imported from Russia and Turkey were caught

6102Individuals engaged in the sale of counterfeit US dollars imported from Russia and Turkey have been apprehended, as reported by UzA. In the Surkhandarya region, one person was caught in possession of physical evidence after exchanging $19,250 of fake $50 bills for $10,000 in genuine currency.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that this individual had purchased the counterfeit bills from a resident of the Kashkadarya region in Uzbekistan, imported from the Russian Federation, with the intention of distributing them later. Consequently, both individuals were arrested.
Additionally, in the Kurgantepa district of the Andijan region, two people agreed to exchange $500,000 in counterfeit currency for $325,000 in real money. The initial arrest occurred when $7,600 in fake $100 bills, imported from the Kyrgyz Republic, were sold for $5,000.
In Tashkent, during a vehicle inspection at the 'Erkin' traffic safety facility, a passenger from Bukhara was found carrying $8,900 in counterfeit $100 bills. Legal procedures were initiated, noting that this individual had a prior conviction related to fraud.
It's known that this individual was traveling to Tashkent with the intention of selling these counterfeit foreign currencies, which were prepared in Turkey and brought into Uzbekistan through the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to generate income.
