On November 6, a Cobalt car traveling on the Takhtaqoracha pass, traversing the Kitab district in the Kashkadarya region, was struck by a large falling rock. The Traffic Safety Service of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the incident.

"The accident occurred on the 1138th kilometer of the M-39 highway, a major route connecting the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions. As a safety precaution, authorities have temporarily closed the Takhtaqoracha pass to traffic. The Public Security Department announced that updates on the reopening of the pass would be shared once conditions allow," the report states.

Unconfirmed reports on social media indicate that people were inside the vehicle during the incident, though official confirmation on potential casualties or injuries has yet to be provided.

The Takhtaqoracha pass closure follows another incident on November 5, when a truck caught fire on the Kamchik pass, also leading to a temporary halt in traffic in that area.
