Thailand and Philippines appoint new ambassadors to Uzbekistan

3084On May 31, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting with the new ambassadors of Thailand and the Philippines to Uzbekistan, where Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received their credentials. Saidov announced this via his Telegram channel.
During the meeting, discussions centered on enhancing mutual trade, developing tourism, and strengthening cultural ties between the countries.
"Today at the Ministry, we welcomed Mr. Sasivat Vongsinsavat, the newly appointed ambassador of Thailand to Uzbekistan, and received his credentials. We deliberated on advancing political consultations, accelerating economic cooperation, boosting mutual trade, enhancing business relations, and fostering tourism and cultural connections. We congratulate the ambassador on his appointment and wish him success in his diplomatic mission," the minister wrote.
Saidov also discussed bilateral and multilateral relations with Roberto G. Manalo, the newly appointed ambassador of the Philippines to Uzbekistan.
"There are significant opportunities to expand our cooperation in various areas. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan supports the ambassador's efforts to unlock the vast potential in Uzbekistan-Philippines relations," the minister wrote.
It is worth noting that on May 16, Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received credentials from the new ambassadors of Portugal, Lithuania, and Denmark to Uzbekistan.
