Earlier, it was reported that the number of countries whose citizens can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 60 days has increased from 57 to 93, with Uzbekistan included among the 36 new countries. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand regarding this issue. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ahror Burkhanov, provided this information.

According to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, no official information on the extension of the visa regime has been announced yet.

"According to the regional office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, there is a government decision to simplify the visa procedure, and the Consular Department will send relevant instructions to the diplomatic missions of Thailand abroad, and official information will be published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," says Burkhanov.

It is noted that the unilaterally introduced visa simplification procedure may be canceled after a certain period. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Ministry provide additional information as soon as an official note is received from Thailand.
