Individuals who unlawfully utilized electricity and natural gas faced legal consequences

During the investigation, individuals utilizing natural resources were identified in the Kattaqorgon and Jomboy districts of the Samarkand region, as well as in the Uchqorgon district of the Namangan region, according to the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

In the Kattaqorgon district's "Mominkhoja" neighborhood, R.S. was found illegally tapping 587.9 million soums worth of natural gas from a greenhouse he operated for commercial purposes, connecting it to the public gas network without proper documentation.

Likewise, in the Jomboy district, "T." N.I., managing a farm informally, illicitly connected a water pump to the public electricity network, resulting in a total loss of 260.2 million soums to the state.

Head of a limited liability company, R.S., in a similar vein, unlawfully linked a bakery to the public gas network for commercial use without proper documentation, totaling 135.2 million soums in illicit gas usage.

Criminal cases have been initiated under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code regarding these incidents, with ongoing investigations, as stated in the report.

It's worth noting that on March 28, authorities discovered a farm in Khorezm illicitly using gas worth 3.3 billion soums.
