8-year-old girl dies after being hit by truck in Surkhandarya

An 8-year-old girl in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region died after being hit by a GAZ-53 truck while returning from school. This was reported by the regional Road Traffic Safety Department.

On March 7 of this year, the 2nd-grade student from the "Darband" neighborhood of the Boysun district was leaving school and heading home when a GAZ-53 truck, driven by a man born in 1992, struck her. As a result, the young girl sustained serious injuries and died at the district hospital.

Officials from the regional Road Traffic Safety Department have investigated the case, and a pedestrian crossing has been constructed on the street near the school. Additionally, explanatory work was carried out with the parents at the school the girl attended.

It should be recalled that earlier, in the Uychi district of the Namangan region, a Lacetti car hit an 11-year-old schoolgirl. As a result, the girl died in the hospital.
