A man has been arrested for killing his mother with an axe in the Surkhandarya region, as reported by the "Millar" program.
According to reports, the incident occurred after the son, born in 1987, asked his mother for money to buy alcohol. This request led to a heated argument between them.
Case documents reveal that the defendant returned home drunk and had a confrontation with his mother, during which he brutally attacked her with an axe.
The case was brought before the Denov District Court, which considered the criminal charges. The court found the defendant guilty under clauses "v" and "j" of Article 97 (Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code, sentencing him to 18 years of imprisonment.
This incident follows another case in the Kumkurgan District Court, where a man was sentenced for fatally stabbing his mother over inheritance disputes.
