Son brutally kills his mother in Surkhandarya

In the Qumqorgon district court on criminal cases, a man who fatally stabbed his mother over inheritance disputes received sentencing. This information was disclosed in the "Zamon" news program.

The tragic incident occurred at the end of November 2023. A woman, born in 1966 and residing in the "Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur" neighborhood, was killed in her own home. Until her demise, the woman was involved in cement sales. She had frequent arguments with her son regarding inheritance matters.

The conflict arose when the woman pledged to allocate 40% of her assets to her son-in-law during her daughter's wedding in 2023. On November 29, her daughter's father-in-law passed away. She visited to offer condolences, promising to return the next day (November 30) but never did.

During her return home, she engaged in another dispute with his son. The son insisted that his sister not be granted a house or a car. Subsequently, around 02:00 in the morning, the son brutally stabbed his sleeping mother multiple times. As he was leaving, he heard his mother groaning, prompting him to return and inflict further stab wounds to her neck.

"I used my knife and cleaned it with this brush," the boy stated during testimony.

Later, he went to bed as if nothing had occurred. The next morning, the man alerted emergency services and filed a report with law enforcement, alleging that someone had murdered his mother.

Investigation revealed the culprit to be the boy. A criminal case was launched against him for intentional murder under Article 97, part 2, clause "v", resulting in an 18-year prison sentence.

It's worth noting that previously in Khorezm, a husband murdered his wife with an ax.
