The Ministry of Health has reported that emergency doctors in Surkhandarya have started to test the effectiveness of using electric scooters.

According to reports, on average, more than 3,000 calls are made to the Surkhandarya Region branch of the Republican Emergency Medical Center.  Most of the requests fall between the hours of 5:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

In order to provide first aid to patients in a timely manner, the use of electric scooters was introduced as an innovative solution to this problem in the “Ambulance” service of the region.

"It's true, they don't have the comforts of modern "103" cars, these vehicles are considered effective when driving in traffic jams and difficult areas.  This allows doctors to reach their destinations promptly and provide first aid to non critial patients in a timely manner," the report said.

The electric scooters have a special chest, which can contain all medicines and equipment necessary for providing first aid to patients.

It is worth noting that that the on-call paramedic works according to the situation.  If a patient’s condition is satisfactory, he will help him and give recommendations.  If the patient’s condition is serious, an ambulance will be called immediately.
