Doctor was sentenced for assaulting a woman seeking treatment

A doctor in Surkhandarya has been sentenced to five days of administrative detention for sexually assaulting a woman who had sought medical assistance. The incident was reported by Millar.  

According to the report, a 1991-born man attempted to sexually assault the victim at her home while making obscene remarks. Following the incident, the victim filed a complaint with the relevant authorities.  

On December 5, the Kumkurgan District Criminal Court reviewed the case and found the doctor guilty of violating Article 411 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (sexual assault). The court sentenced him to five days of administrative detention.  

It is worth noting that, in a separate case, the "bodyguards" of the so-called "Kokand doctor" were also held accountable. Charges were filed against them under Article 2091 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan (illegal wearing of uniforms of employees of ministries, departments, and organizations).
