Man who grew marijuana on the roof of his barn was arrested in Surkhandarya

A man growing marijuana on the roof of his barn in the Surkhandarya region has been arrested. Aziz Obidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court, provided this information.  

A 48-year-old resident of the Nurafshon neighborhood in Termez district cultivated the drugs on his barn's roof, later drying and storing them in a glue bag. The father of three was caught selling approximately 23 grams of marijuana.  

The Termez District Court reviewed the case. The man was found guilty under Article 270, Part 1, and Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code, receiving a 6-year prison sentence.  

It is worth noting that in a separate case in Jizzakh, a 58-year-old man was arrested for possessing weapons and drugs in his home. Investigations revealed that, in addition to the weapon, he had an electronic tape recorder, 13.8 grams on a shelf, and a total of 65 grams of marijuana in his pockets. Documents have been prepared, and investigations are ongoing.
