Former district governor appointed to a new position

According to a relevant order signed by the director of the Uzarchive Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilfuza Jumanovna O‘rolova has been appointed head of the Syrdarya Regional Department for Archival Affairs. This was reported by the regional governor’s press service.
Dilfuza O‘rolova, a mother of four, was awarded the Shuhrat Medal in 2012. She has served as a deputy of the Syrdarya Regional Council of People’s Deputies and as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 1985 to 1990, she studied at Gulistan State University. From 1990 to 2001, she worked as a teacher at Secondary School No. 10 in Mirzaobod district, Sirdaryo region. From 2001 to 2010, she served as deputy director for spiritual and educational affairs and later as director of the same school. Between 2010 and 2015, she worked as deputy governor of Mirzaobod district and chair of the district Women’s Committee.
From 2015 to 2017, she served as a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2017 to 2020, she served as deputy governor of Syrdarya region and chair of the regional Women’s Committee.
On February 18, 2020, her candidacy was nominated and approved as governor of Boyovut district at an extraordinary session of the Boyovut District Council of People’s Deputies in Syrdarya region.
In 2022, Dilfuza O‘rolova stepped down as chair of the District Council of People’s Deputies, becoming the first governor to relinquish this authority.
In 2024, an audio message circulated on social media alleging that Dilfuza O‘rolova had harshly insulted a farmer, ordered his hands and feet to be tied, and handed him over to law enforcement officers. The regional governor’s Office of Ethics and Conduct Commission assessed the incident as a violation of the ethics and conduct rules for civil servants. The district governor provided an explanation regarding the situation and expressed regret. A submission was sent to the regional governor recommending disciplinary measures against Dilfuza O‘rolova in accordance with established procedures.
It is worth noting that in December 2025, Dilfuza Jumanovna O‘rolova was dismissed from her position due to a transition to another job.
