2 teenagers die in road accident in Syrdarya

On September 19, two minors lost their lives in a road accident in the Syrdarya district of the Syrdarya region. The incident was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the information, the accident occurred the same day at around 22:00 on the 1st kilometer of the “Sholikor-Syrdarya” route of the local highway 20V036, passing through the Furkat mahalla.

A 15-year-old boy, driving his father’s Lacetti without permission, lost control of the vehicle due to speeding and crashed into a roadside ditch.

As a result, two minor passengers in the car died on the spot. The driver was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the district medical association.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3, Clause “a” of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in the death of two or more persons). An investigation is underway.

Earlier, in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent, a traffic accident occurred involving a Spark and a traffic police car. A 17-year-old driver attempted to turn sharply from the third to the first lane on Chopon Ata Street and collided with a Lacetti service car driven by a traffic police officer.
