Illegal gas usage uncovered in Syrdarya: Company faces charges (video)

Authorities in Sirdaryo region have uncovered a case of illegal gas usage, resulting in damages amounting to 1.5 billion soums. The Ministry of Energy reported the incident, which involved a private enterprise in Mirzaobod district.

During inspections at the “A. P.” LLC located in the “Yangihayot” neighborhood, it was discovered that the company had tampered with its gas metering equipment. The enterprise was found using two non-standard burners that exceeded the permissible measurement limits. A recalculation determined the damages to be 1.558 billion soums.

Additionally, in Guliston city’s “Bahor” neighborhood, a resident identified as Kh.R. was found to have illegally connected to the gas network, bypassing the meter. This unauthorized usage resulted in damages calculated at 379.787 million soums.

Both cases have been documented, and relevant materials have been submitted to law enforcement agencies for further investigation. Monitoring and enforcement efforts are ongoing to prevent similar violations.

It is worth noting that a previous case in Sirdaryo revealed unauthorized use of electricity worth 2.1 billion soums by another enterprise in Guliston city.
