Suicide of “Inson” social services worker under investigation in Syrdarya

On December 28, 2024, an employee of the "Inson" social services center in the Sardoba district of the Syrdarya region committed suicide at home. This was reported by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, in response to a request from QALAMPIR.UZ.

It is reported that 29-year-old S.S. committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope from the neck area on a wooden beam of the ceiling of a warehouse near his house in the "Kuyitosh" municipal district of Sardoba district at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The scene of the incident was examined in a procedural manner by the district prosecutor, the head of the district internal affairs department, the operational investigation group, and others, and a report was drawn up. According to the preliminary report of the forensic medical examination, during the external examination of the deceased S.S., no injuries were found on his body other than strangulation wounds in the neck area. An official investigation was assigned to the Sardoba district department of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan.

During the pre-investigation investigation, it was found that the deceased lived at his residence with his spouse O.C. and one minor child, and that there were no disagreements or quarrels with his family, relatives, or other acquaintances.

The Sardoba district prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation investigation into this case. The reasons for the suicide are currently being investigated.
