On October 14, citizen E.S. filed a complaint with the District Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) about a teacher at school No. 27 in the Syrdarya district. The complaint alleged that a female teacher, A.G., punished E.S.’s daughter, who was born in 2017 and is in the 1st grade, by sticking a needle into her hand and denying her access to the restroom.
An investigation is currently being conducted by the district DIA.
Additionally, a forensic examination has been ordered to determine the extent of the injury to the minor, G.O. Further updates on the situation will be provided as more information becomes available.
It is worth noting that a similar incident was previously reported in Tashkent’s Sergeli district, where a 1st-grade teacher at school No. 277 was accused of using a needle and a screw to punish students. The teacher was subsequently dismissed, and a criminal case was initiated.
