Deputy head of Electric Network Enterprise was caught with a bribe

The deputy head of the electric network enterprise was arrested in the Oqoltin district of the Syrdarya region. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.

It is noted that the deputy head of the district electric network company, A.B., allegedly informed the head of farm "X" in the district that 7.8 million sums were owed for electricity supply during an inspection conducted by ENE employees. Additionally, he was caught with physical evidence when he received 4 million sums in exchange for reducing this debt.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Articles 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are currently underway.
