2-year-old kindergarten student dies after choking on food in Syrdarya

A 2-year-old kindergarten student passed away after choking on food in the Syrdarya region. Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, provided this information to QALAMPIR.UZ.

The incident occurred on August 7 at 11:10 AM in the Mirzaabad district. I.S., a pupil born in 2022 and enrolled in the family-run, non-governmental pre-school education organization YaTT "A, Z, A," located in the "Yoldoshobod" neighborhood, suddenly passed away.

Preliminary findings from the forensic medical expert indicate that I.S.'s death was due to mechanical asphyxiation caused by the obstruction of the airways with food.

"The Mirzaabad district prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident," the report stated.
