7573In a concerning incident, the principal of preschool education institution No. 31 in the Ohangaran district of Tashkent region has been arrested for allegedly misappropriating food products intended for children. Videos circulating on social media depicted the principal inappropriately handling state-allocated food supplies.
The incident reportedly occurred on October 22, prompting an immediate response from the regional preschool and school education department, which formed a working group to investigate the matter. Law enforcement agencies are currently overseeing the preliminary investigation into the allegations.
"Additional information will be provided on the results of the studies," regional department stated, indicating ongoing scrutiny of the situation.
This incident follows a previous case in the Bukhara region, where a similar issue arose when only 300 grams of meat was found for 150 children during meal preparations at an educational institution. Following that event, the head of the kindergarten resigned upon application.
