In the Samarkand region, individuals who tied a dog to a car and dragged it have been punished. The regional ecology department informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this incident.
A video circulating on social media shows two men dragging the dog with a chain by its neck tied to a car.
It is reported that the culprits were found and charged under Article 111 (Cruelty to Animals) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
For information, citizens who commit the violation outlined in Article 111 shall be fined three to five times the base calculation amount.
If the same offense is repeated within one year after the application of the administrative penalty measure, or if the offense referred to in the first part of this article is committed in the presence of a minor, or if it leads to the death or maiming of animals, a fine of five to ten times the base calculation amount shall be imposed, or the offenders may face administrative detention for up to fifteen days.
