Fraudsters promising jobs in Israel were caught in Samarkand

2311In Samarkand, individuals who fraudulently obtained $52,700 in exchange for promises to send people to work in Israel have been apprehended. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation conducted by the Samarkand city department, U.V., who had prior convictions for fraud and other crimes, along with F.F., deceived three citizens by promising them employment in Israel. They collected a total of $52,700. U.V. and F.F. have admitted to the crime, and $7,000 of the defrauded money has been returned and documented in accordance with procedural rules.
Additionally, in another case in Samarkand, U.H., the manager of a non-state educational institution, was found guilty of fraudulently obtaining $6,700 from citizens Z.Z. and B.A., after promising them jobs in Israel through a training center run by the institution.
Criminal cases have been opened under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are ongoing.
Earlier, in the Nurabad district of Samarkand region, a fraudster promising to send a citizen to work in England was also arrested.
