A driver of a Deepal S7 vehicle has been penalized for failing to give way to an ambulance in Toyloq District of Samarkand Region. The incident was reported by the Road Safety Service under the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The incident occurred on July 21, 2026. A video shared on social media showed the driver of a Deepal S7 traveling on streets in Toyloq District refusing to give way to an ambulance.
According to the report, the ambulance driver repeatedly announced the vehicle's license plate number and requested that the driver clear the way. However, despite the warnings, the Deepal S7 driver did not change direction and continued blocking the ambulance's path. The Road Safety Service conducted an investigation into the incident.
Following the investigation, an administrative report was filed against the driver under Article 128-5 of Uzbekistan's Code of Administrative Responsibility, which covers cases where vehicle drivers create obstacles or emergency situations, including entering lanes or sections of the road designated for oncoming traffic. Preventive awareness discussions were also held with the driver.
Earlier, another driver in Samarkand City was identified and penalized for failing to give way to an ambulance.
