Saida Mirziyoyeva visits the British Prime Minister’s residence

Saida Mirziyoyeva, the eldest daughter of the President of Uzbekistan and Head of the Presidential Administration, met with Varun Chandra, the British Prime Minister’s Advisor on Investments, at Downing Street. Mirziyoyeva shared details of the meeting on her Telegram channel.

According to her, the parties discussed prospects for implementing joint projects.

“Mr. Chandra expressed great interest in the reforms taking place in Uzbekistan, particularly in the development of the economy and the improvement of the investment climate. I believe that the agreements reached will serve as a foundation for new practical initiatives and long-term partnerships for the prosperity of our countries,” said Saida Mirziyoyeva.

For reference, 10 Downing Street is the official residence of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The building is located in the Westminster district, adjacent to Whitehall Street. Since 1735, the house has occasionally served as the Prime Minister’s residence, and since 1902, it has been used on a permanent basis.

It should be noted that on October 9, Saida Mirziyoyeva met in Brussels with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas. She also met with the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jozef Síkela. On October 13, in London, Mirziyoyeva held talks with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Additionally, on October 14, Mirziyoyeva met in London with Baroness Arielle Malard de Rothschild, a member of the Supervisory Board of Rothschild & Co, the UK Treasury’s Economic Secretary Lucy Rigby, representatives of the British business community, as well as the UK Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary David Lammy.
