Ruslan Nuriddinov clinched his fifth Asian championship title

Today, February 10, marked the conclusion of the Asian weightlifting championship held in Tashkent, where Uzbekistan's athletes shone, securing numerous medals.

In the 109 kg weight class, Olympic champion Ruslan Nuriddinov secured a gold medal in lifting along with two wrestling medals, totaling 382 kg (175+207). Another Uzbek athlete, 22-year-old Sharofiddin Amriddinov, also excelled in weightlifting, claiming two silver medals with a total lift of 381 kg (176+205).

Rustam Jangaboev, competing in the +109 kg category, contributed another bronze medal to Uzbekistan's tally, lifting 192 kg in the deadlift event.
