2072On November 26, three minor Uzbek citizens who had been left without parental supervision in Russia were successfully repatriated with the assistance of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The children were returned from the cities of Novosibirsk and Moscow under international agreements, according to the National Social Protection Agency.
Upon arrival in Tashkent, the minors were received by the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors under the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs. They were then reunited with their parents with the agency's support.
The children had initially traveled to Russia under a power of attorney granted to a close relative of their parents. However, since such power of attorney is not legally recognized in Russia, the minors were classified as being without parental care.
To ensure the well-being of the returned children and their families, "Inson" social service centers near their residences are providing necessary social support.
It is worth noting that earlier, four minor Uzbek citizens were similarly reunited with their families upon arriving at Tashkent International Airport.
