The use of images that contradict national and family traditions is prohibited in advertising.  This is stated in the law "On Advertising" signed by the president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the law, the following is banned from being advertised:

• advertising of goods in print media (textbooks, school diaries, school notebooks, etc.) which are used in preschool education and upbringing, general secondary, secondary special, and vocational education;

• presenting prices (tariffs) in foreign currency;

• advertising of product information without an indication of age, in cases stipulated by the legislation on protection of children from information harmful to their health;

• the use of forms, expressions, and images that contradict national and family traditions, as well as generally accepted norms of morality and spirituality.

The law prohibits advertising the following in order to protect minors from abuse of trust and lack of experience:

• use of juvenile demonstrations in dangerous situations that endanger their life and (or) health, including damage to their health;

• discrediting parents and caregivers, undermining the trust of minors;

• advertising of goods prohibited for minors to purchase or consume on juvenile television channels, television, and radio broadcasts.

The law will come into force three months after its official publication.
