4713Instances of non-compliance with legal requirements were identified in the normative legal documents adopted by four district mayors of the Kashkadarya Region, as reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.
The Committee's Regional Office in Kashkadarya conducted a study of over 10,000 normative legal and other types of documents concerning the Law "On Competition" within the regional structural divisions of district administrations and state administrative bodies over six months in 2024.
The study revealed that in 19 instances, within the Nishon, Shahrisabz, Guzor, and Muborak district administrations, the adoption of normative legal and other documents led to the restriction of competition in the goods or financial markets and discrimination against consumer rights and legal interests. It was determined that Articles 12 and 22 of the Law "On Competition" were violated by permitting discriminatory or preferential conditions for certain business entities.
"According to the results of this study, the relevant decisions made by four district governors have been revised to comply with the Law on Competition. Additionally, recommendations have been made to the district governors to address the violations and prevent future occurrences."
It is also noted that the regulatory legal documents adopted by ten district mayors of Namangan Region were found to be in contradiction with the requirements of the Law "On Competition."
