4372Halilillo Sobirjonovich Torakhojhayev has been elected as the chairman of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This decision was made during the 53rd plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Halilillo Sobirjonovich Torakhojayev, born on January 21, 1972, in the Yangikurgan district of the Namangan region, holds a higher education degree in law and is a 1st-level legal advisor.
He graduated from the Tashkent State Law Institute in 1997 and began his career in 1991 as a courier for the Yashnobod district court in Tashkent city. From 1992 to 2008, he served in various roles within the judicial system.
Throughout his career, he has held several key positions:
- From 2008 to 2014, he worked in the Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the leading inspector of the service of the state adviser on coordinating the activities of law enforcement and control agencies, and on issues concerning justice and court agencies.
- From 2014 to 2017, he was the chairman of the Tashkent City Court on Civil Affairs.
- From April 12 to December 12, 2017, he served as Deputy State Advisor of the President's Service for the Protection of Citizens' Rights, Control, and Coordination of Work with Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities.
- From 2017 to 2020, he was the Director of the State Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice.
- From June 2020 to January 2021, he served as Chairman of the State Committee for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography, and State Cadastre.
In February 2021, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial Panel on Civil Cases.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that Nigmatilla Yoldoshov was reappointed as the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
