New mayor appointed for Zarbdor district

9322On January 17, during an extraordinary session of the District Council of People’s Deputies in Zarbdor, Jizzakh region, Bekzod Turgunovich Toshpulatov was appointed as the new mayor (head) of Zarbdor district. The announcement was made by the press service of the regional governor.
The session was attended by acting regional governor, Ulugbek Mustafayev, who introduced the newly appointed candidate, Bekzod Toshpulatov. Prior to his new role, Toshpulatov served as the head of the Jizzakh regional tax department.
The appointment was unanimously approved by the district deputies, confirming Toshpulatov as the new mayor of Zarbdor.
Born in Jizzakh in 1983, Bekzod Toshpulatov holds a higher education. He graduated from the Tashkent Tax College in 2004 and later earned a degree in taxes and taxation from the Tax Academy in 2008. Toshpulatov began his career in the tax authorities in 2008 as an operational officer responsible for security and combating corruption at the Buka district state tax inspectorate in the Tashkent region.
It is worth noting that on December 28, 2024, the previous mayor of Zarbdor, Zafar Sharopovich Ruziev, was appointed deputy mayor of the region for agriculture and water management, taking on the role of head of the agricultural department.
