After meeting with Putin, Tokayev to visit Tashkent

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to Tashkent on November 14–16. The news was reported by the Akorda and the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.

According to the visit program, high-level talks and the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, are scheduled to take place. The main agenda will focus on deepening cooperation in priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, water resources, and cultural-humanitarian projects.

The sides are also expected to exchange views on pressing issues of regional and global politics, as well as cooperation within multilateral formats. Plans include launching an International Industrial Cooperation Center and several joint projects, along with signing a package of documents aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

On November 16, the President of Kazakhstan will also take part in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

It is worth noting that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan paid a state visit to Moscow on November 11–12. During the visit, the Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed a declaration to elevate bilateral relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
