The list of certificates for the payment of 20 and 50 percent increments to teachers has been approved

The list of certificates for 50% and 20% bonus payments to teachers of secondary schools in Uzbekistan during the 2023/2024 academic year has been approved. This was reported on the “Education Control” Telegram channel.

According to it, the decision of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Economy and Finance to approve the list of certificates for which premiums will be paid in the 2023/2024 academic year was approved.

This decision envisages the introduction of a number of changes and additions to the list of Certificates of the previous academic year.

Certificates newly added to the list or whose premium points have been changed:

 • GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) Quantitative Reasoning score is being changed (the change equal to 155 points also applies to mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry);
 • History, Geography and Primary Education (Mother Language and Literature (Uzbek Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Karakalpak Language and Literature) or Mathematics) provided by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency;
 • Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL);
 • Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL);
 • SAT subject score (relating to mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry)
 • A levels (A) and Astrum Certified IT Educator (80) (Informatics and information technologies).

Let’s recall that in September 2021, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a meeting with Fergana voters, said that he will not stop until the salary of teachers reaches $1,000.

“It must be said frankly, we are still indebted to these hardworking, selfless people.  That is why, no matter how difficult it may be, we mobilize all our strength and capabilities to adequately encourage the work of teachers.  By 2025, measures will be taken to bring the monthly salary of high-class teachers to $1,000 equivalent.

 

In this regard, first of all, by harmonizing the kindergarten system with school education, we will further improve the quality of preparing our children for school,” said the President.
