Tashkent-based Pakhtakor has officially signed Bashar Resan, a member of the Iraqi national football team. The club's press service announced the transfer, marking the first signing under new head coach Pedro Moreira.

According to the statement, the 27-year-old midfielder has signed a 1+1 contract with the club. Resan is an experienced player with over 100 international appearances for clubs and his national team. Throughout his career, he has played for Iraq’s Al Quwa Al Jawiya, Iran’s Persepolis, and Qatar's Qatar SC and Marcia.

Resan has an impressive track record, having been crowned champion of Iraq and Iran. He also won the AFC Cup and reached the final of the Asian Champions League twice. As a member of the Iraqi national team, Resan has made 56 appearances and scored 4 goals.

"Bashar Resan is Pakhtakor's first signing under new coach Pedro Moreira. We wish Resan success and many trophies in his career with the Lions. Welcome to Pakhtakor, Bashar!" the club stated.

It should be noted that on December 4, Portuguese specialist Pedro Moreira was appointed as Pakhtakor's new head coach. His arrival signals the start of a new era for the "Lions" as they aim to strengthen their squad and compete for more titles in the upcoming season.
