Otabek Shukurov, a member of the national team of Uzbekistan and the Kayserispor club of Turkey, considers the national team's matches against South Korea and Saudi Arabia to be the most painful in his career. The player himself shared this in an interview with QALAMPIR.UZ.

"There are two games that are the most painful for me. The first was our 0-0 draw with South Korea in the World Cup qualifier. If we had won that match, we would have gone to the World Cup. The second is the match in Saudi Arabia where we lost 3-0 to the hosts. We didn't even get to the third stage of qualifying then. These two games are the most painful in my career. After these matches, I could not come to my senses for a month; I turned off my phones and did not talk to anyone," said Shukurov.

It should be noted that the national team of Uzbekistan faced South Korea in the last round of World Cup qualification in 2017, losing the opportunity to go to the 2018 World Cup hosted by Russia. In 2021, they lost the opportunity to Saudi Arabia and ended their march towards the World Cup in Qatar very early.
