The US publication "The New York Times" has named Bukhara, Uzbekistan, one of the 52 best cities to visit in 2025.

Ranked 22nd on the list, Bukhara is highlighted for its cultural significance and the upcoming Bukhara Biennale of contemporary art, set to take place in the fall of 2025. The event, scheduled from September 5 to November 20, will showcase works by renowned artists, including British sculptor Anthony Gormley and other international masters.

The Biennale will be held in the historic center of Bukhara, among its centuries-old caravanserais, religious schools, and other architectural treasures of Islamic culture.

Additionally, "The New York Times" noted that traveling within Uzbekistan has become much easier, making the country more accessible to tourists.

The list’s top destinations include a celebration of the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth in southwest England, the Galapagos Islands, and museums in New York City.

It is also worth noting that earlier, Uzbek seamstress Dilorom Yuldasheva was featured in the BBC's “100 Women of the World” list.
