Norov states who will participate in the summit of leaders of the SCO member states

It has become known who will participate in the summit of the leaders of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will be held in Samarkand in September of the current year.  On 29 July, (acting) Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov provided information about this at the meeting of SCO MFA leaders in Tashkent.

Thus, according to Norov, the leaders of the member states of the organization have confirmed that they would participate in the meeting of the SCO member states' council to be held in Samarkand on September 15-16.  In addition to this, the leaders of the observer states: Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia will participate in the summit.  The president of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov will also attend the meeting as a guest.

In addition, confirmation was received that the deputy Secretary General of the UN for political issues and the heads of the executive bodies of ASEAN, CIS, CSTO, EAEU, and others will participate.

Norov also thanked the member states of the organization for supporting Uzbekistan's proposal to invite Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to participate in the upcoming summit.
