Nodirbek Abdusattarov drew againste a strong opponent

The prestigious “WR Chess Masters” chess tournament, hosted by the German city of Düsseldorf, is in full swing.  Yesterday, on 22 February, the 6th round of the tournament was held.

Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov, playing black pieces against Indian Gukesh Domarju in this round, ended up with a draw.

After the remaining six rounds, the Uzbek chess player occupies the 9th place with 2.5 points.  With 4.5 points, Levon Aronian, the representative of the USA, is still leading the tournament table.  Wesley So and Gukesh Domarju, who scored 3.5 points, took second and third place respectively.

For information, “WR Chess Masters” tournament consists of 9 rounds in total.  The competition will last until 26 February.
