Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov of Uzbekistan triumphed in the FIDE World Champion, Grandmaster Rustam Qosimjonov International Tournament in Tashkent, as reported by QALAMPIR.UZ.

In the final round of the competition, Abdusattorov drew with Azerbaijani player Shahriyor Mamadiyorov. The 19-year-old Nodirbek secured first place overall with 6.5 points.

The previous tournament winner, Javohir Sindarov from Uzbekistan, claimed second place with 6 points. Shahriyor Mamadiyorov rounded out the top three with 5.5 points.

Based on additional rating points, Rustam Qosimjonov finished in fifth place.

Abdusattorov received $12,000 as the winner of the competition, while second-place holder Javohir Sindarov was awarded $8,000, and Shahriyor Mamadiyorov received $6,000 for his third-place finish.
