Uzbekistan's top chess player, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, earned $132,981 in prize money from competitions held in 2024. This figure was reported by the chess-focused publication, "Chess.com".
According to the report, Abdusattorov participated in 12 major tournaments over the course of the year. The earnings list was topped by Indian chess prodigy and World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju, who amassed over $1.5 million in prize money during the same period.
It is worth noting that Abdusattorov currently holds the 6th position in the FIDE world rankings, with a rating of 2768 points.
