On January 26, Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, received the credentials of the new Dutch ambassador, Niko Schemers, in Astana. This information was conveyed by the "Dunyo" agency.
Having met Niko Schemers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed optimism about the potential for expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sector. He pledged support for Ambassador Schemers' endeavors to enhance relations between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands.
Niko Schemers has taken over the role from Andre Carstens, the former Dutch ambassador to Uzbekistan.
